1. There shouldn’ t be such thing as ‘neutral’ in this matter. You are either with them or against them. You can’t have it any other way. It is crystal clear woyane’s long arm has reached some of your members. No type of reasoning is going to solve the church’s problem. That’s because these guys sold their souls to the devil. Remember, money is the root of all evil. Woyane has promised these guys the stars and the moon. Some are offered a piece of land back home and their bank accounts are getting fatter by the day. Don’t waste your time in trying to get an honest answer from these modern day Judas. Abandon your ‘neutral’ nonsense. If the choice is between good and evil, what would you choose? you can’t have it both ways. The church under control of woyane is illegal, period. Man up and choose either the woyane backed church which is dominated by woyane cadres or the exiled church. The truth shall set you free!!

4. I completely agree with you, Birtu/can. The church in Minnesota brought the problem upon itself and the culprit for this is the so-called neutrality position that they have taken. Since when has the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church ever throughout history practice a position of neutrality, something unheard of and contrary to the Church’s basic canonical law. Wayane is after neutral churches in the Diaspora because they can be easily targeted for absorption and has sent cade Archbishops to do the dirty job for it. Abba Marcos is a Wayane cadre of Gojjam background who insulted the Medehanealem Church in Minnesota the other day. So, you poor souls of the Medhanealem church, wake up and take the only acceptable and canonically noble practice–joining either of the Hoy Synods and curing yourself from the “sickness of neutrality.” If you people want to be like a Protestant-like church, then declare so. Otherwise, neutrality is not an option but an anomaly in Oriental Orthodox church practices, and thus you deserve what you are getting from the Wayane cadre-members of your church, as well as the Wayane-cadre Abunes.

The problem that we are facing at DSMC orthodox is the result of the fight for power between two politically, materially, and ego driven top church leaders who never asked them selves if they were worthy of being spiritual leaders. i do not think these “fathers” care for the their people nor for our orthodox religion. Their primary interest is to grub the power. if any of these patriarchs were a true christian he could have left the worldly power for the other one and just serve God by praying for our country and our religion, teaching the bible, helping the poor and sick people. They were not supposed to want or to need power. They should be allergic to wealth, luxury, and power. Those are worldly things.
   The question I have now is who are we to judge? We should leave the judgement to the lord. That is what we did in DSMC. We staid neutral and prayed to god to bring these religious leaders to their spiritual mind. We also pray to god to give us one true holy religious leader and synod. We have been neutral for over 20 years and we should be neutral until our prayers are answered. Who are we to judge any way, in terms of religion. But remember each one of us have our own political stands and we should.
