  1. I believe you are not balanced and fare since all you focus on is negative news and information. The same is true on the other side as it is only the positive news that gets any air.

Now iit is all polarized, who is going to break this cycle? How are we meant to be civilized? What is wrong in being fair and reasonable?

    • To tell you the truth i am only visiting two wesbsites those are This one and Awramba times are those only two who are showing both side of the story.

The rest are one sided extrimist. I know this website is a bit sided with G7 and Awramba with Woyanne but they both put every news and leave the reader to decide.

I think the zehabesha is a web sight with most updated news. Whenever there is an important breaking news, this is where I read it first. I think you provide a balanced and fair reporting. In addition to the political news, you provide you readers with important health information, sport and entertainment. Most importantly you post the daily ESAT news which is awesome. The only thing I would love to read on your Web sight is more inspirational stories of Ethiopians who accomplished in different field. This can be from within Ethiopia or around the world. In addition, one thing I read a lot on people comment, it seems like there lots of people who know little about the history of their country. They rant negatively about ethnic groups. If the zehabesha posts our history of togetherness, our ancestors love to their country and people, our week ability to tolerate one another..etc, this may help most of us to be aware of our true history rather than afe tarik. Keep doing the wonderful job you are doing and I give you a big tumbs up for even asking our opinion.

you are doing a good job!!!!you are on the right track!!!!keep on!!!! @kal are you looking for report on hidase gidib, growth and transformation etc!!!Media must not fear anybody and must be fare to nobody!!!Their main objective should be…telling the truth!!!!

you are doing a good job!!!you are on the right track!!!!keep on!!!!@Kal are you looking for a report on hidase gidib, growth and transformation, etc!!!! Media must not fear anybody and must be fair to nobody!!!! ..their main objective should be….telling the truth!!!!!

Just carry on as usual. You are providing a good service to our people are helping to promote democracy through the open forumms that are provided for everybody to have their say. What I suggest is that you sometimes need to look at a particular point of view and judge it on the value that it brings to the discussion at hand. If it does not it should be censored.

Outright insults, uncivilised talk and such like should be banned.

As a diaspora news outlet it is difficult to be fair and balanced. You need to distance your self from other foreign backed websites.

Thank you zehabasha you are the number one balanced website. There is no discrimination in your website.Long live to Zehabasha.

So far I see little biasedness other wise well and fine web site. When I said little biase you lean toward one group and one religion just like king Haile time. I don’t blame you for this for you are the offspring of that group. I am sure next generation will be free of this/

You doning a great job with free press, a few may oppose for a few articles, but still we have to learn the other side story, deal with it, and come up with a solution. Hiding is not a solution. We all know what we can do and what we can not do.

Zehabesha web site is one of the best so far. you guys always give us breaking news way ahead of the others. The other thing is you have your websites both in English and Amharic which makes it easy for every Ethiopian to get latest news. Keep up the good work!!!

      Zehabesha,

Truly an Ethiopian web site since it entertains the diverse views of the country and the people. I always belived that hypocricy does not serve a coomon good unless we practice what we say. A number of web sites call themselves the “Ethiopian Democratic” web site when we know how biased their coverage is. One notable web site is only interested on the issue of Assab and nothing else about the TPLF government bothers the editorial body. While the issue of Assab is important, reducing the human rights violation of the Tigrean government against non-Tigreans must be of the prime importance if we have to live together.
I can say that your web site is the first I check for any news. I have given up on others and I am pretty sure that many people have done the same.

      Hi Habesha,

You are doing a great job. Keep it up!!!! Having said that I have two comments. (1) Please do not interefere in church affiars. A few months ago you posted an article about Medhanealem Church (Minneapolis) including the photos of the priests. Although I agree with some of the points raised in the article, let spiritual issues be discussed at the church face to face, with politeness and with the fear fo God, not here behind the computer screen. (2) A few weeks ago, you posted an article mentinoning that Dawit (from Awaramba times) was seen at the Ethiopian Embassy, in DC, on a certain day, probably arranging his return to Ethiopia. However, I read an article by Dawit in which he claimed that he was somewhereelse on that day. As an evidence for this, Dawit sent you the copy of his air ticket. I want you to comment on that.

Thanks again for being a great source of news from the MOTHERLAND. I check your website every hour.

The bad thing about it all is that I was a Late Comer to the Site.Since then I have enjoyed it every bit of it including Tena Adam. . The latest of which was the interview with Lidetu Ayalew. It was an information in clear thinking. It was a political thought ABC.. Besides I always wondered why people just “voted” to misunderstand/hate Lidetu.I also enjoyed the piece by Temegen.
Please Keep up the Good Work
      A Luta Conua!!

Though I`m late comer and rarely post any comments here, your website is much better than many others. Firsts, I was suspicious about your name brand–TheHabesh name– which excludes many Ethiopian nationalities except Amharas and Tigrians groups. I thought an inclusive name would have conveyed the message better to majority of Ethiopian, but it is too late at this juncture. Second, If your website refrains from the negatives of religious hyperbole as some polarizing other sites are doing, especially about Ethiopian Muslims, your site reputation will only increase over time thereby attracting many decent readers. Thanks you guys and good luck for your hard works

If yoy really need opinion of your readers. it should be confidential and not in public .if it’s help !!! Any way I like your hard work keep it up bro

      Ze Habeshoech,
I comment rearly and when I do it is in your website, because you provide good source of information and fair selection of comments.Keep up the good work do not always listen to the flock, there are moments the flock could be misgiuded and can end up misguiding you, free thinking is a choice and there are flocks who are scared of this and judge you thier ennemy. what is not apealing to you can be of benefit to others.Give a fair chance to free thinking comments as well.
Thank you I like your work.
      Lej.Mesfinachew Anteneh AKassa.

Zehabesha website is the number one choice news media for me for the last three years, compare with other ethiopian related media website, because of well balanced and accommodate all kind of views. Also the most abated and brought true professionalism way of informing to our people! I hope your good work will continue and there are many backwards media are exist for ex ecdaform with full of old school thinkers. All the best zehabesh we love you.

Ze-Habesha is the most reliable news source for Ethiopians. I am very pleased with your job. The only problem is with Ze-Habesha magazine. Be on time. It is very informative magazine. I do not think it is a big deal of posting the magazine on time. Previously, I mentioned to the chief editor but no improvement is shown.

Keep up the good job !!!

      Ze-Habesha,
Please read my above comment as “Ze-Habesha Newspaper” instead of “Ze-Habesha magazine”. Sorry!
Talking about magazine, what happened to Madina magazine used to be issued by Ze-Habesha fellows? It was the best Ethiopian magazine in the U.S. Please continue.
      Thanks.

Honestly speaking, at the beginning I have never expected fair information from name Zehabesha as this name was used by first class Ethiopianist who want Ethiopia to serve them but doesn’t want to see the people on that earth. I found Zehabesha fair online media as it tries to entertain divers views and opinions. I understand there is massive pressure from self claimed first class ethiopianst who are a curse for that land and rebuffed by majority. At this rate, Zehabesha editor will be a unique person next to Walelign from Abyssinians camp who is naturally gifted to think as human being. Good job. I wish you all the best.

To be honest, you come close to what I call a genuinely ETHIOPIAN media. You put out news as they come. I do not see too much bias in the origin or perspectives.

I have always hoped, rather dreamed, that a day will come when we come out of the chronic segregation disease where Amharas, Oromos, Tigres, Somalis etc, just talk in their own domain, without any exchange of view points with others. Ideally, we have as few as possible websites so that we all get exposed to divergent viewpoints, regardless of the inconveniences this might cause. It is only that way that we progressively get more and more united as a nation.

What is happening now is rather scary, groups talking their own members – preaching the convert. The way we exchange ideas and generate “political thoughts” is equivalent to in-breeding in “biology”. It is weird, it has to change. In that respect, you are doing much better than others.

Having said this, I do not see other well known Ethiopian websites and blogs in your “Ethio Newslinks”. For instance, where are Opride.com, Ayyaantuu.com, Gullelee Post.com, etc?. You must have had some criteria to exclude these and other pages, but then again you are inconsistent because I see OLF in the listing of opposition groups. Just get over it and aspire to become fully Ethiopian.

      Best wishes

I am Eritrean. I read your website almost daily. I appreciate your website for presenting balanced news. I can say it is web site of all “THE HABESHs”,be Ethiopians or Eritreans. Please continue the same.

From- GETACHEW REDA (Editor Ethiopian Semay):

You made me laugh when you asked readers an opinion about your website. Are you serious you respect readers and writers’ opinion?
I sent you two articles for post this year. One commentary was about Tamang Beyene, Islam and its history in Ethiopia. You decline to post it because you claimed you will not post comment in regard to Tamang. I asked you why. You reason was “it will weakened the struggle”. He is God or a king not allowed by opposition media for any critique

The other commentary sent to you to be posted was ድምፃችን ዛሬም ነገም የጎሹ ወልዴ ነው!” This was also focusing Ethi-WEritrea issue that Col. Goshu addressed Ethiopian legal argument opposing Western plots against Ethiopia. You decline to post it (My guess is it deals also with Ginbot 7 and Eritrea and decline to post it- because your Ginbot 7 was mentioned ), that too was declined to be post.

I asked you three times to provide me reason for your refusal. As an editor, you should have given me reason for it- be it- reasonable or not. But, you felt shy to give your reason- because -your reason seemd to be poor for response and declined from answering it. I am asking you still to come up with reason for your decision not to post it.

The sad thing is you give Shaabia agents like Amanuel Beademariam and Sofia (our enemies) many times repeatedly to insult our Ethiopia while you refuse to serve Ethiopian issue that opposed Shaabia and its clicks. I asked you why you decline to response. Are you shy to response because your answer might not be adequate for argument? Why are you asking readers here our comment about your webite when you know you are repressing Ethiopian voices? Your OLF, ONLF, EPLF readers will love to hear your action against Ethiopian voices- because, that is what they are looking for. A subversive media! You still need to answer it why? Check your email for evidence. Boy! you are only fooling yourself, not me. If you are Ethiopian, serve Ethiopians not anti Ethiopian groups. Do nor be a subversive agent for them.
Thanks Getachew Reda (Editor Ethiopian Semay) getachre@aol.com

      Getachew Reda,

You are blaming Ze-Habesha for declining your articles. On the other hand, you have your own website/blog and you never treated any other openions other than yours (EPRPS). Ask yourself before blaming other. Do you really post an article if I write you about Our hero Tamagne? Have you ever mentioned about Ethiopian Muslims movement. All you are doing is posting negative aticles, back biting and proofless videos in your closed door website. Be out of your box first, Semay man. You are still on “Semay”. You think you are the only one who loves Ethiopia and struggles for Ethiopian. Loving Ethiopian is not just liking Ethiopian Semay only but loving Ethiopian people first. Boy! Land on Ethiopian earth and face the reality and start to like people. The problem with you and your fellow is that no say or write about Ethiopian struggle but your.group. Do you really beleive in FREEDOM OF SPEACH? ask youself.
