አቡነ ማቲያስ(ዘ-ሐበሻ) በውጭው ሃገር በገለልተኛነት እና በስደተኛው ሲኖዶስ ስር ያሉ አብያተ ክርስቲያናት ‘የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤ/ክ’ የሚለው ስያሜ እንዳይጠቀሙ ለማድረግ ከመንግስት እና ከኢትዮጵያው ሲኖዶስ አንድ ግብረሃይል መቋቋሙን የዘ-ሐበሻ ምንጮች ዘገቡ። ትናንት ከአዲሱ 6ኛው ፓትርያርክ አቡነ ማትያስ ጋር የመንግስት ባለስልጣናት በተለይም አቶ አባይ ፀሐዬ እና የፌደራል ጉዳዮች ሚ/ሩ ዶ/ር ሽፈራው ተክለ ማርያም በዚህ ጉዳይ መነጋገራቸውን ያጋለጡት ምንጮቻችን ከመንግስትም ከኢትዮጵያ ካለው ሲኖዶስም የተውጣጣ አንድ ኮሚቴ ተቋቁሟል ብለዋል።
ከመንግስት በኩል በየሃገራቱ ያሉ የኢምባሲ ተወካዮች እና ከሃገር ቤት የሚመደቡ ሰዎች ከንቡረ ዕድ ኤልያስ እና ከዶ/ር ሙሴ (ከኦሃዮ ስቴት) በመሆን በውጭ ሃገራት ያሉ የገልተኛውና የስደተኛው ሲኖዶስ አብያተ ክርስቲያናት ላይ “የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤ/ክ” የሚለውን ስም እንዳይጠቀሙ ክስ ይመሰርታሉ ያሉት እነዚሁ የዘ-ሐበሻ ምንጮች በተለይ መንግስት ይህን ጉዳይ ለማሳካት ከፍተኛ ገንዘብ እንደሚመድብና ጠበቆችን እንደሚቀጥር ቃል መግባቱን ምንጮቻችን አጋልጠዋል። ንቡረእድ ኤልያስ አብርሃ
መንግስት በተለይ በውጭ ሃገራት ተቀባይነት በማጣቱና ይህን ተቀባይነትን ለማግኘት እንደገለልተኛው ቤ/ክ ያሉትን ከተቻለ ወደ ሃገር ቤቱ ሲኖዶስ እንዲጠቃለል፤ ካልተቻለም ለ2 በመክፈል ለመበተን እቅድ ነድፎ ከፍተኛ እንስቃሴ እያደረገ ባለበት በዚህ ወቅት ከፍተኛ በጀት መድቦ በውጭ ያሉትን ቤተክርስቲያናት በሃገር ቤቱ ሲኖዶስ ስር ካልሆናችሁ በስሙ መጠቀም አትችሉም በሚል ዳግመኛ የመክፋፈል ሥራውን ለመሥራት እየጣረ መሆኑን ታዛቢዎች ለዘ-ሐበሻ ይገልጻሉ።
እነዚሁ ታዛቢዎች ከዚህ ቀደም ሟቹ አቡነ ጳውሎስ በሎስ አንጀለስ ይመሩት የነበረውን ቤ/ክ የኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤ/ክ የሚለውን ስያሜ እንዳይጠቀም በፍርድ ቤት መታገዱን አስታውሰው፤ የአቡነ ጳውሎስ ጉዳይና የስደተኛው ቤ/ክና የገለልተኛው ቤ/ክ ጉዳይ እንደሚለይ አስተያየታቸውን ሰጥተውናል። አሁንም የመንግስትና የአዲሱ ፓትርያርክ እቅድ ከዚህ ቀደም በአቡነ ጳውሎስ ላይ የተሞከረው በሌሎቹም ላይ ይሰራል ከሚል ከንቱ ፍላጎት ነው የሚሉት ታዛቢዎች ገንዘባቸውን የፈለገ ቢያፈሱም ጉዳዩ እንደማይሳካ ያላቸውን ግምት አስቀምጠዋል።
