     An Oromo who are acting as a Habesha is not a full Oromo; he/she is a banda. An Oromo who is ashamed of using its language and exercising its culture is a banda. What matters is not only the blood/genes/. In fact no one makes DNA test to know whether sb is Oromo or not. The only test is the behaviour he/she is showing towards the oromo cause.

   Unless you live on another planet, you know pretty well that Dr. Beyan or anybody else could write in any language of his/her choice. Or could carry any flag of his/her choice. In our country Ethiopia diehard idiotic individuals like yourself remain a liability and albatross that destroys any reconciliation that we need very badly. I assume you live in the West and look at how diverse group of people who come to the West remain proud of their heritage, language and culture even after taking US or European countries citizenship. No one bothers them since it is their democratic right. So if say you as an Amhara could fly Ethiopian flag, teach your children Amharic in America/Europe, why can’t other non- Amhara Ethiopians use any other language of their choice or fly a flag that they believe symbolizes their aspirations. I’m not an Oromo but I believe that Oromos just like any other Ethiopians have the right to be free to advance whatever is right for them; let’s stop pontificating and preaching to non-Amhara Ethiopians about Ethiopian flag or Amharic. Ethiopia is a multi-ethnic and multicultural country that should recognise and encourage diversity if it is to survive.
   Long live Ethiopia that is for all its diverse peoples.

    Beyan Assoba is rejecting your language. Instead he used a neutral language to convey his message. None of what the Neftegnas nor their errand boys like Fikre Tolessa do change the fact that the language issue you want to portray is going to change the direction we are on. He did not answer in Afan oromo. I wish he did that. We’ve known Yinegal is waiting for the rise of the day when Amhara domination will revive. That is a dream in the sky.

I don’t think he represents, by any means the millions of Oromos (ethiopians,whether he likes it or not)who live harmoniously with their brothers in Ethiopia. Dr Beyan wrote ‘I would not have recognized that this new name actually refers to me if it were not used in context of commenting on the Oromo Democratic Front, of which I am a member.’ your translation is way off. Unfortunately I can’t copy your translation here because I don’t have the software, which may be one among many possible reasons Dr. Beyan didn’t use Amharic for the response. 21. I donot want to comment on individual issues. The only thing that I understood is the Amhara’s and thosa whose mind has been colonized by this thinking have always one dream: one Ethiopia, One language, One culture, one flag. Please go to developed countries see how they have respect for all their people. If you go to Singapore, where the official language is English, Everybody is obliged to learn his mother tongue first in primary school: Malay, Chinese, and Hindu. Then, they believe as Singaporean. But you are telling/dictating everybody not to mention who he is. You have ruled this country for more than 100 years and you ended up with poverty hit people. Your thinking was to eat fatty food, drink tej and sing about Ethiopia. What did you bring for Ethiopian people? Even what did you bring for the poor Amhara whom you are boasting. Please, sit a while and think for a second. Donot rush to blame somebody and make hasty generalization. There are a lot of Ethiopians who cannot express themselves in Amharic. You are expecting a Somali person to write in Amharic like somebody from Gojjam? You want a person from Gambella region to write using all Amharic proverbs and Amharic words to express his idea? When you say Ethiopia, remember you are always thinking about all Ethiopians living in the territory of Ethiopia.     I do not hate Amharic at all sir; it’s a language I grew up speaking and a language I learnt in schools. I speak more and better Amharic than Afan Oromo or English. I have more Amhara friends than any other nationals, who unfortunately speak only Amharic, so I use it to communicate with them. On the contrary I write better English than Amharic or Afan Oromo; simple. When it comes to reading I read all languages but prefer English more than the remaining two. And I’m pretty sure I’m not alone in this category.

    Now how is it then that you conclude that I or other Oromos hate Amharic? How many Oromos, who grew up in cities, have you met and talked to? Was my last sentence not Amharic for you? Or you didn’t read it? Let me copy it again because I think it applies to you too – yerasuan semay seqla wusha befiyel tisikalech. Yemanew denez benatachihu?
