1. Good point brother Dresse, that is my point of view as well, i am not sure what was changed since last time we rejected to reunion with Wayane Syndo, we need to stay as it was, keep the status quo

3. One thing is clear to me. Those who keep tirelessly
   Try to make us believe their argument we still have
   to stay neutral are either they are clueless about EOTC
   cannon and dogma or they are regionalist just like weyane
   as I know for sure some of the neural theorists hate for
   the diaspora and legitimate fathers. Or they are hidden
   weyane forsure. In this time and age where most things
   about weyane’s attrocities against the church is known
   to every EOTC believer, to be independent is at least
   morally reprehensible if not unchristian.
   Those if you who think neutral is the right way are cheating
   only yourself or following some so called “intellectual” whom
   they think and do solving Ethiopia’s problem based on personal
   animosity. This shows me we the EOTC believers have a very deep
   problem while the Moslem community is doing business on the core
   issues to tackle. We must see deep down in the ocean what weyane is cooking
   for Ethiopia specifically EOTC.

   • As Christians we need to always believe in and guided by the Holy Words of God and the doctrine as well as canon of the faith we believe in-E.O.T.C teachings. It is true that the patriarch of E.O.T.C, His Holiness Abune Merkorios, was persecuted and now lives here among us. However, the claim by some including arch bishops, priests and people like you, my brother, are deadly wrong to believe that the Holy Synod of the E.O.T.C was also persecuted following the patriarch. This claim has been the stumbling block among the Church’s faithful in diaspora that has precluded unity in tackling the disunity of our fathers being one voice. First, we need to know that Holy Synod is not just a mere assembly of fathers. It is the utmost leadership body of the Church even above the patriarch. It is the Holy Synod that assumed the patriarch not Vice Versa. It has also various branches that run the day to day activities of affairs of the Church. It is the legal body of the Church that represents it and recognized by the law of the land with its rights and obligations stipulated in detail and specific including by the civil and penal codes. The so called ‘Synod’ here in the Diaspora is established not as the legal representative of the ETHIOPIAN ORTHODOX TEWAHEDO CHURCH,but as a non-profit organization with its own by-law and in accordance with guidelines of IRS. And, each and every Church that claim to be ‘under the ‘Synod’ in America is not under it legally and practically. This is true too to those Churches that claim to be ‘under E.O.T.C Synod’. Hence, all Churches here in the U.S irrespective of their claim are legally and practically INDEPENDENT governed by their own by-laws,not by the ‘kalawade’. The ‘kalawade’ in its present content can not establish Churches outside of Ethiopia. The reason is that the laws and regulations of U.S and the states do not recognize it. Even if the fathers become one, unless the Holy Synod in Addis Abeba amends this Kalawade to suit the laws and regulations of foreign countries, in reality, Churches outside of Ethiopia remain independent or registered non-profit corporations. Therefore, when some people say that these Churches are ‘under mother Church’ and those are ‘under the ‘synod abroad’, it only shows allegiance to the fathers here or there by just mentioning the names of the persecuted patriarch or the one in Ethiopia. For most Churches and their congregations to do this,however, they, the fathers, should come to terms and be one . Personally, I believe, the legal patriarch of the Church is Abune Merkorios, but the legal Synod exists in Ethiopia. The claim that says that the legal patriarch is Abune Merkoris implies the need to his restoration since he is not in his throne. If the throne is not there, then, there is not need to argue that he was persecuted since he has also taken the throne with him. But, the fact of the matter is that, he has only the power of patriarchy and need to be restored to the right place. The same is true regarding the Synod. The Synod in Addis need to do the right thing by making itself free from the influence of and direct involvement by the power in the palace. But, this does not mean that it should not work with it for the benefits of the Church both legal and historical rights of the Church since this is one of the factors it should demonstrate to be accepted by all. So, True Churches can only side with truth. The truth is the Synod is in Ethiopia and the patriarch is Abune Merkorios.

   You are absolutely contradicting your self.
   You believe His Holiness Abune Merqorios
   Isthe rightful patriarch. Which I thank you for
   your first truthful and important fact. What you contradict your
   self is the throne goes with him where ever he may
   be. Holy Synod is a gathering of bishops, archbishops
   lead by the Patriarch. The Synod cannot live with
   out His Holiness. By your claim of the rightful synod
   is the Addis Ababa one is wrong for multiple and long reasons.
   But I will point out only one basic understanding of
   EOTC. I believe you consider your self as EOTC follower.
   Is your Coptic Orthodox Christianity vanished or gone
   after you crossed the Ethiopian border? Let me add another
   point if you will. How do you reconcile a holy synod (by your claim the Addis Ababa one) is run by a devil (Aba G/Medhin) for the last 20 years
   And chose another Tigrawi by threatening the church stablishment.
   Meaning, if “Abune Merqorios is coming to Ethiopia, Tigri will have it’s
   own Patriarch? I am sure you should know this public information if you are
   honest. Or are you trying to do ” yegebia girgir le leba yamechal” ?

   Very worn out arguement!!!!!! Please be honest and help Ethiopian Monks, faithfuls
   and the fabric of our religion by standing with truth and the righteous. That is the legitimate synod in diaspora. To the point you raised about the 501(c) case I will
   pass it because it does not deserve serious attention.
