1. Well, it is the right thing to express one’s ideas and positions toward the political behavior and performance of the prime minister and his “comrades in arms “ . But it is absolutely misleading if not politically and morally wrong to try to show that what has happened and is happening in Ethiopia is as simple as what the writer of this piece is trying to .
   1) I have never come across any rational critique blaming the prime minister for not being a political person of absolutism . It is wrong and unproductive to say or write anything simply because we feel that it is okay to unnecessarily exaggerate things and defend the un-defendable .
   2) It is wrong if not both politically and morally self-degrading to try to show that the prime minister is not at the forefront of responsibility and accountability for the very unprecedented politically motivated crime within this very short period of time .
   3) It is a very ruthless idea to say that all the horrifying political crimes have happened because the prime minister is not absolute as a human being ! Absolutely nonsensical !!!
   4) It must be clear that the change the people are trying to make is not a matter of either blaming or praising the prime minister who is the brain child of ethno- centric politics of EPRDF but a matter of changing the system .
   5) It is very infantile and irrational to give unconditional or uncritical credit to him which very painfully ignores the untold sufferings of the people .
   You can worship him , but it is nonsensical to tell the people to do the same .
   Nobody with his or her right mind hate him personally but his political personality and behavior deserve not only to be hated but also to totally be rejected by any peaceful means !

     Me: With due respect, what is happening in Ethiopia is simply TRIBAL POLITICS propagated by few protagonists seemingly caring for their tribal clans whose ultimate goal is to suck the blood of the people. WOYANE JUNTA is the epitome of this political game. What did the ruthless fascistic WOYANE JUNTA do good for Tigray Ethiopians? Absolutely nothing positive but extreme suffering which is being manifested today. I know that anti-Abiyists & pro WOYANE Junta activists throw their nonsensical accusations on current government. We may try to make politics as complicated as calculus, but it is not. It is a simple transactional process. When we all realize & wish that what each of us think & do for our benefits should benefit others, our country & it’s people can enjoy peace & consequently economic prosperity ensues.

     Me: Presenting PM Dr. Abiy as a despot makes me laugh. This inference of the PM to be absolute ruler, borrowing your own words, is wrong and unproductive to say or write anything simply because we feel that it is okay to unnecessarily exaggerate things and defend the un-defendable .

     YOU: It is wrong if not both politically and morally self-degrading to try to show that the prime minister is not at the forefront of responsibility and accountability for the very unprecedented politically motivated crime within this very short period of time .

     Me: Unless you are challenged with እማርኛ ቋንቋ , there is nothing & nowhere in my commentary that I said the PM isn’t responsible and accountable. In fact, I put it in simple English idiom, “THE BUCK STOPS WITH HIM.” No need for me to say more on this except suggesting to you to read again the commentary.

     Me: Do you mean that the PM must be A DESPOTIC RULER to curb the horrifying political crimes perpetrated by ruthless narrow minded tribalistic operatives such as the TPLF remnants, OLF, & others such as the ones in Benshangul, Southern Ethiopia, Afar, & Somali Killels? As human beings, as you touched, nobody is absolute, and we all have flaws. We try to manage our flaws in order to be better human beings from one moment to another
     .
     YOU: It must be clear that the change the people are trying to make is not a matter of either blaming or praising the prime minister who is the brain child of ethno- centric politics of EPRDF but a matter of changing the system .

     Me: You & I need to agree on one element of human functionality that builds or ruins the human beings. As we all human beings feed on praise or blame to sustain in our chosen endeavors & to flourish our individual personalities wrapped up with humanity, a leader or any common citizen of a nation needs constructive criticism to fulfill her/his obligations to the position he holds. Constructive criticism is positive & effective. Blame is its antithesis, and it isn’t productive. Assuming that the PM is the brainchild of of ethno-centric politics of EPRDF is demeaning the humanity of PM. No person is a brainchild of nobody. You can criticize & him for any deranged reasons but describing him the way you did is indication of hatred. You have all the possible rights to disagree with his politics, but not to disparage him as a tool.

     YOU: It is very infantile and irrational to give unconditional or uncritical credit to him which very painfully ignores the untold sufferings of the people .

     Me: If this is your take from my commentary, you need to freshen up your አማርኛ ቋንቋ or to find someone well versed in አማርኛ ቋንቋ to translate it to you in the way you can soak it down. I never gave unconditional or uncritical credit to him. I still believe that he cannot remedy by himself all the malaise & sufferings affecting the Ethiopian people. These never ending crises need your & my inputs to find permanent solutions.

     YOU: You can worship him , but it is nonsensical to tell the people to do the same .

     Me: Again the same shit is manifested in this statement. I now come to realize that you may lack understanding አማርኛ ቋንቋ. I worship only ONE GOD. There is no human being including my own mother who conceived & birthed me in the universe who deserves to be worshipped. Please save the word for DIVINE POWER.

     YOU: Nobody with his or her right mind hate him personally but his political personality and behavior deserve not only to be hated but also to totally be rejected by any peaceful means !

     Me: Politics isn’t a hate & love game. Politics is process of moving ideas around to establish understanding for benefits of the common good of the nation & its people in question not political arguments. But in your world, it has become a hate & love issue. These are types of emotions. Because of these uncontrollable emotions, the political tensions and disorders culminate in disaster which our Ethiopia is currently facing.

     In conclusion, my suggestion is not to engaged in politics emotionally but to be rational & thinking participants.
     Disclaimer: I do not belong neither to any political operation nor party, don’t live in nor intend to live in Ethiopia. I do not have any financial or other types of benefits except few poor relatives who look for my handouts.    መደገፍም መቃወምም መብት ሆኖ ሲያበቃ ችግር የሚሆነው የአንቺ ዓይነት ሚዛናዊ አስተሳሰብ ያላቸውን ሰዎች ለማሸማቀቅ ሲሞከር ነው። ሰሎሞን ሹምዬ [በወያኔ ቲቪ የሻይ ቡና ፕሮግራም አዘጋጅ የነበረው] እንኳን “የዩቱብ ገቢ የሚገኘው አብይን በማጥላላት” ነው ብሎ ስድቡን ተያይዞታል። አንድ ቪዲዮ ላይ “non-sense’ እስከማለት ደርሷል። ምን ይብላ? ሻይ ቡና ቢል ስፖንሰር አያገኝማ።

     The silent majority should speak out what it believes the truth rather than being silent observants & spectators. It doesn’t matter what political views the y lean to but need to express. I am not looking for anyone to support my views but engage me in sensible & rational exchange of views and ideas. It doesn’t help a nation in trouble and people in political siege to be for or against. Life isn’t always v black and white but mostly gray, to live in harmony with each other. This is my cup of tea in defining LIFE we live in.

     • Dear Almaz – It is very simple to have the Amharic Software/Fonts on your devices including your computer. Here are some choices:
       1. https://www.google.com/intl/am/inputtools/try/ – after the page opens near by the keyboard icon click the arrow and change it to Amharic and you can type away as you wish and cut and past it
       2. You can download and install the full version of the Amharic software including the Fonts from https://keyman.com/keyboards/h/amharic/ – This one is the best one!
       3. If you are using PC or an Apple there is an input method for Amharic you can download it directly from their system.
       I am hopeful in the future you will respond in the Amharic language for an opinion that is written in Amharic. Some of the people that respond in English for an Amharic opinion because of their hate of the Language. We should not play into their hands.

Did you spent some time with eritreans ? Amhara elites are peacemakers , but they want to annexe Oromia, Welkait and Raya and kimant woreda .    ዛሬ የምዕራባዊያን ጫና በተለይም የአሜሪካ ከሱዳን ጋር መወዳጀት በሃገራችን ላይ ትልቅ ጫና እያደረሰ ይገኛል። አሜሪካ ማለት ሃገር አፍራሽ ማለት ነው። እጃቸው የገባበት ሁሉ ፍጻሜው እንዲያ ነው። 40 ዓመት ሙሉ እነርሱን ሲያገለግል የነበረው የግብጹ ሆስኒ ሙባረክ ተሽቀንጥሮ በስፍራው የምህንድስናው ዶ/ር መሃመድ ሞርሲን በምርጫ ያስቀመጡት ግብጻውያን በአጭር ጊዜ ውስጥ ሌላ መለዪ ለባሽ አልሲሲን ነው በግድ የተጫነባቸው። ለዚህ ደግሞ በቀጥታም ሆነ በተዘዋዋሪ የአሜሪካ እጅ አለበት። ግብጽ ከናስር ጀምሮ እስከዛሬ ድረስ የወታደር መንጋ ሲያምሳት የኖረች ሃገር ናት። የአሜሪካን ዲሞክራሲ እኔ የምልህን አድርግ ሌላውን ጉድለትህን እኛ እንሸፍናለን ያ ካልሆነ ገባተ መሬትህን እናፋጥናለን ነው የሚሉት። አሁን ማን ይሙት በኤርትራና በኢትዮጵያ ላይ ማዕቀብ ይጣላል? በወያኔ በሮኬት የተደበደበችው ኤርትራ ራሷን የመመከት መብት የላትም? ኢትዮጵያስ በምድሯ ህግና ደንብ የማስከበር ስልጣን የላትም? የአሜሪካ ፓለቲካ የሚመራው በ (Lobby – a group of people seeking to influence politicians or public officials on a particular issue). በሃገራችን ቋንቋ ይህ ሲተረጎም በቀጥታም ሆነ በእጅ አዙር ጉቦ መስጠት፤ ጀርባዬን እከክልኝና ልከክልህ አይነት ዘመናዊ የሌብነት ስልት ነው። ወያኔ ዘርፎ ባጠራቀመው ገንዘብ ነው ሴናተሮችን ያለ ልባቸው በኢትዮጵያ ላይ ጫና እንዲያደርጉ ያደረጋቸው። አልማዝ አሰፋ (ዘረ ሰው) ባሰፈረችው ሃሳብ እስማማለሁ። ጠ/ሚሩ አጨልመው ለማሳየት የሚወድና የሚከጅሉ ሃይሎች ሁሉ የቀን ጅቦችና ከበግ ውስጥ የተደበቁ ተኩላዎች ናቸው። ሃገሪቱ አሁን ባለችበት ገዳዳ (precarious) ጎዳና ላይ ከዶ/ር አብይ የተሻለ ሌላ መሪ እንኳን በቅርብ በሩቅም አይታየኝም። ጠ/ሚሩን የማጥላላቱም ዘመቻ ከፍራቻና የፈጠራ ወሬ ከትንሽ እውነት ጋር ተቀላቅሎ በእነዚህ ሃይሎች የሚለቀቅ የወሬ ጋጋታ ነው። ጠ/ሚሩ ከተመረጠ የተሻለ የስልጣን እይታና ጉልበት (Mandate) ስለሚሰጠው አሁን ያለውን የወያኔና የአረብ ጋጋታ ሁሉ ጸጥ እረጭ በማድረግ ሃገሪቱን ወደ ተሻለ እይታ ያሻግራል ብዬ አምናለሁ። በቃኝ!

   • Dear I appreciate your kind words, and the moral support from Kedir State & Tesfa. From my stay in Diaspora to my age of Grandma, life has taught me to say what I feel, and learned from my experience to be corrected when I am wrong. Do I fit in the group the ass-kissing, self-enriching, lying, & humanity lacking political operatives? I refuse to. I have lied in my life so many times to advance myself without hurting anyone in the process. I am at the age of repentance for my past sins of selfishness. Even though I cared a lot for my native country, THE COUNTR of 13 MONTHS OF SUNSHINE, & my people, I never engaged myself in this kind of form to voice my views. GOD is Great to keep me healthy, age gracefully, & allow me to have abundance of free time to occupy myself with current issues of Ethiopia. I know that I am dealing with those in the age of my own children or grandchildren if I had started making children in my twenties. It is what it is & I don’t shy away to take the insult, if it comes, and to shoot out one if necessary. But I prefer intelligent discussions which I can learn from. I encourage my peers in my age group tp actively participate in the current affairs of our motherland. Be blessed!!

6. Writer Alamz, thank you for your response to my comment on your comment. I appreciate the way you tried to explain your words and phrases and sentences as well with some sense of civility.
   Without going back and forth, I do not think the very wordings of your piece requires language skill you are talking about. I read all your wordings and phrases between lines. I do not think it is difficult to understand the whole context of your piece starting from your very topic you chose. Any ordinary reader with his or her rational mind can understand the very gist of the piece.
   Do you really believe that all crimes against humanity, genocide, war crime etc. happened simply because Abyi is not or cannot be an absolute leader, not because he is the very brainchild of the painfully ugly and dangerous politics of ethno-centrism?
   Is he not the leader of the junta faction of EPRDF which ousted its mother junta, TPLF and keeps running the same system in a much more horrifying manner?
   Do you really know the real meaning of junta? Why you just picked this word from his mouth and repeat it just like a parrot?
   Yes, TPLF/EDRDF was a typical junta throughout its political grab. It came to power by hook or crook and stay in power by the political game of using fake elections and by destroying others whenever it felt that they were threats to its power.
   Do you deny that those who controlled the palace with the leadership of ODP/Oromuma are committing unprecedented politically motivated crimes not only against innocent citizens who are trying to challenge its power but also against countless ordinary innocent Ethiopians simply because of their identities (who they are and what is their faith)?
   Is there any other criterion to call a junta is a junta? It is self-evidently clear that as far as the unprecedented crimes we watched for three years is concerned, there is no doubt that Abyi is the leader of the junta faction in the palace.
   Do you really believe that this political system of vicious cycle can get better with the leadership of politicians who are dangerously restless and frustrated because their hands are badly stained with the very blood of so many innocent citizens for three decades?
   Abyi was given a golden chance when he took power. Not surprisingly enough, he terribly failed because the very purpose of his grouping was to oust TPLF and replace it with its own hegemony in a much faster and worse manner without making a systemic change.
   Like it or not, there will never be any significant change let alone the realization of democracy with the leadership of Abyi who is dangerously suffering from the political personality of cynicism, dishonesty, conspiracy, hypocrisy, narcissism (excessive self-aggrandizement), lie, infantility etc.
   That is why I strongly argue that trying to find any clumsy excuse (human beings are not absolute) and trying to make what is terribly bad good does not make sense at all as far as the realization of the very interest of the people (true democracy) is concerned.
   Take it easy! This is the way we need to deal with if the horrible and deadly politics of ethno-centrism of Abyi and his army of cadres should be the thing of the past!!

   • Among all your points you mentioned, the most crucial is the TRIBAL POLITICS which you put as ETHNO-CENTRIC needing serious & honest discussions among Ethiopians. Let me focus on that because it is the mother of all malaise affecting Ethiopia.

     The ugly & divisive ethnocentric politics in Ethiopia didn’t start with EPRDF led by TPLF JUNTA (an ethnocentric political group taking power by force ruled the nation for 27 years. I am not parroting Abiy, but stating the fact. Hope you agree with me on this). Though I am not versed in Ethiopian History, from my limited knowledge, Eritrean movement of secession from Ethiopia advanced the tribal movements & encouraged other narrow minded individuals from different tribes to conspire against the integrity & sovereignty of Ethiopia in the same fashion. Haile Selassie University (currently AAU) Students started student movement for change in 50s (Ethiopian calendar, you might not have been born). This student movement immersed in communist & socialist ideology started fanning & promoting the idea of the rights of nations (in Ethiopian case TRIBES) to secede from mother nation. This idea of secession planted by student movement became the stepping stone to all wannabe tribal chieftains with hope of forming non sustaining dinky nations rather having a United Country. The TPLF JUNTA succeeded in promulgating such a devious ethnocentric politics with formation of 9 territorial divisions, 8 based prominently on languages, & the Southern Ethiopians territory which reflects multiethnic Ethiopia. The ethnocentric politics isn’t the work of Abiy, but it has been the centerpiece of Ethiopian politics for more than 60 years. The Ethiopian population under 50 (I assume that it is the majority) grew up hearing the drumbeat of this divisive ethnocentric political propaganda. The solution doesn’t come by blaming one person or one political party. It needs concerted effort from leaders, government, political operatives, political parties, academicians & citizens at large. It is necessary to educate ourselves about the power of United people. Allowing a nation to disintegrate into mini states won’t benefit anyone involved except exacerbating the situation to the extent of burdening the people of “the-supposed-to-be-neighboring dinky nations”with never ending wars among themselves from generation to generation. How in the hell OROMIA nation can interact & trade peacefully with AMHARA nation knowing what caused the creation of their mini-nations if this reality happens? Who will trade with mini-nation of TIGRAY if it becomes a dinky nation realizing the rhetorics of the fallen TPLF JUNTA remnants & its paid agents wishing the disintegration of Ethiopia? It is easy to postulate something in theoretical settings. But the reality of that would be devastating to all participants. We need to learn from the fate of other nations such as our neighbor Somaliland, across the Red Sea, Yemen, little further Northeast IRAQ & SYRIA. These tragedy filled nations in the verge of disintegration don’t have an excuse of language differences. The people of each nation speak one language. But it didn’t matter to the perpetrators but the thirst & hunger for power blinded the factions without thinking about the devastating consequences to the nations as whole. In our case, the language differences can become justifiable causes for separatists to strengthen their positions as happened in Eritrea. It is commendable to give voice to voiceless from each tribe who are unjustly denied their human, legal, & cultural rights. I understand very well what predicament the AMHARA ETHIOPIANS faced & face due to their long history as backbone of the Ethiopian sovereignty. The main goal of every narrow minded tribalistic ignoramus is to push the AMHARA ETHIOPIANS into tribal camp, and knowingly or unknowingly few AMHARA ETHIOPIANS seem to fulfill the desire of the tribalistic nincompoops. If we really & sincerely feel ETHIOPIAN first, we need to adhere to it rather than being dragged into the juggernaut of tribal political culture. Dying AMHARAS, OROMOS, TIGRAYS, AFARIS, SOMALIS, and other Ethiopians should be identified as Ethiopians first. When we stop to play the tribal game, we can conquer our tribal emotions, and solidify our ETHIOPIAWINET. That is why at this moment when the integrity & sovereignty of Ethiopia is in question, we should stand firmly & unequivocally assert our ETHIOPIAWINET rather than pleasing the instigators & agitators of tribal politics by adhering ourselves to tribal identity.

     TG, anywhere in my commentary I never condoned the atrocities committed on any of our people based on their tribe, language, faith, religion or sexual orientation. It pains me as it pains you and other decent human beings when people are accused, persecuted, displaced, tortured, killed, or disenfranchised for any reason in their own country.
     Let us refer to these victims as ETHIOPIANS rather diminishing them as part of a tribe or a clan.

   ድንቄም ተፍጡምነት ማነጣጠር፡፡ ለሃያ አምስት ዓመት ኢሀድግ ሆኖ እየሰለል ሰው ስያስጠብስና ሲያስገድል የነበረን ወንጀለኛ ወደ ፍጡምነት ማስጠጋት በኢህዴግ ዘመን ባለለቁት ንጡሃን መቀለድ ነውና እግዜር ደጋግሞ ይይልሽ! እግዚኦ እብደት!

10. በመጀመሪያ ከአልማዝ አሰፋ (የሰው ዘር) በህገራችን ኢትዮጵያ በሦሥት አስተዳሮች የታዘበችውን እውነተኛ አስተያያት እሷን አመስግኘ እንዲሁም ለጽሁፏ የሞራል ድጋፍን ለለገሱላትም አምስግኘ ተቀምጨ ነበር።የነበረው ምስጋናየ እንደተጠበቀ ይሁን።ሆኖም ግን ይህንን አግባብ ያልሆነ ቃል ለመጻፍ የተገደድኩት KILIMANJARO ለተባለው ሰው መሆኑ እንዲታወቅልኝ።
    መጀመሪያ KILIMANJARO የብዕር ስምህን በተራራ መሰየምህ ድክመት በመሆኑ ስምህን “የቆላ ዝንጀሮ” ብትለው መልካም ነው።ምክንያቱም አልማዝ አሰፋ በሦሥቱ አስተዳደር የተፈጸመውን መልካም እና መጥፎ ተገባሮች በማመዛዘን የጻፈችው አስተያየት ለትምህርት የሚበቃ እንጂ የሚያስወቅስ አረፍተ ነገር የለውም።በአንተ በኩል በዚሁ አምድ ላይ አግባብ ያልሆነ አስተያየት የሰነዘርክባት አንሶህ “የኢትዮጵያ አገር አድን ግብረኃይል” የሚባል ድርጂት በዋሺንግተን ዲሲ ኢትዮጵያ ኢምባሲ ላይ በጠራው ሰልፍ አምድ ላይ ደገምከው።በመሆኑም የቆላ ዝንጀሮ የሚፈልገውን በቅጡ ስለማያውቀው ከአንዱ ገደል ወደ አንዱ ሲዘል ውሎ ምንም ሳያገኝ እዚያው ያድራል።ታዲያ ያንተ አስተያየትም ምንም ግኙነት እና የተጨበጠ ነገር የሌለው ከአንዱ ተራራ ወደ ገደል በመሆኑ የቆላ ዝንጀሮ ብየ ሰየምኩ። ስሰይምህም ታጥቦ ባልተተኮሰ ጨምዳዳ እንግሊዘኛ ከመጽፍ በአማረኛ ቋንቋ አትጽፈውም ነበርን? አዎን በአማረኛ ቋንቋ አትጽፈውም ምክንያቱም አማረኛ ቁንቋ በየትኛውም አለም እንደማይጻፍ እና እንደማይነገር የታወቀ፤ለኢትዮጵያ እና ለኢትዮጵያውያን/ዊት ብቻ የተሰጠ የማይሸጥ የማይለወጥ በመሆኑ እንደ ፌስ ቡክ የማይረባ ሸቀጥ ማራገፊያም ባለመሆኑ መጠቀሙን ትጠላዋለኽ። ቢሸጥ ኖሮማ እንደ አለሌ ወሸ ትፏልል ነበር። በል ደህና ሁን KILIMANJARO( የቆላ ዝንጀሮ)
