   It is your right to say what is in your mind regardless of whether it makes rational and constructive political sense or not. This is of course as long as you do not declare war on those whom you disagree with.
   But it is equally important for you and your likes to know that millions of genuinely concerned Ethiopians have strong reason and every right to check and challenge your very clumsy if not stupid way of political sentiment of attacking those Ethiopians who are making their own efforts to come together regardless of their ethnic background and trying their best to listen to each others concerns interests without losing their peculiar indentities . This is because as long as the political reality of the country is concerned, there is no any other viable and productive way to create a real sense of common political identity (Ethiopiawinet)without losing each of our own peculiar identity .
   That is why and how the Ethiopian National Movement came into being. We are witnessing the genuine call by the leaders of this Movement being extended to all genuinely concerned groups which of course includes those who claim themselves as defenders and promoters of Amhara to join the Movement and shorten the untold sufferings of the people .
   As I read and understood , the pillar principles to join the Movement are plain and simple : Recognize the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ethiopia, taking political power and authority only and only through the consent of the people (democratic election), and building a country of freedom, justice, equal opportunity, sustainable peace and development, and shared prosperity.
   Is it legitimate to be critical of this document of mutual understanding and cooperation by forwarding one’s own amendments or improvements ? Absolutely ! What is politically nonsensical is just cry out in the name of Amhara or any other ethnic group without presenting one’s well-thought, well-defined and well-organized political personality . That is terribly disturbing and frustrating.
   Although it is not unexpected, it is very unfortunate for Anteneh and his likes trying hard to come up with “comments” making those Ethiopian political movements and media outlets which are doing what they can do with all their difficulties and weaknesses the main targets of a very ugly propaganda.
   Agree or disagree, this kind of extremely infantile or ignorant arrogance political mentality has nothing to do with safeguarding and promoting Amhara’s interests. Absolutely nothing! It is self-evident that the majority of innocent Amahras have no time and energy to waste in this kind of delusional or deliberately cynical way of political thinking and behavior .
   I am aware that as usual there may be fellow Ethiopians who disagree with my view point emotionally characterize me as a “mouthpiece or foot soldier of this or that group. To be clear, if I should be so, I would let you know proudly. Though I believe that I do not need to swear , I have to say that I am not a person of supporting or not supporting this or that group simply based on who is who or who comes from where; rather it is mainly based on who is doing relatively credible and feasible political work and whose willingness and ability is relatively viable and credible in the making of a better future. I am just one of millions of genuinely concerned ordinary Ethiopians who try to speak their minds within the context of the current Ethiopian politics which is extremely worrisome.

   From your writing it is clear you are one angry person who thinks they represents millions of Ethiopians when actually they represent no one and no one at all and have a hard time representing themselves. It has been and is a trade mark of all political ideologists of the socialist ilk. You know all who say we know what is good for you and we do not want to hear anything else, unless it is admiration. Lets come of it, stop the delusion. Every time some one starts with the argument “there is no alternative”, I think most people will agree there is a lack of effort or ability to find a solution, like better stick to our old guns ideology. You see the political scenario of Ethiopia has changed whether you and people like you like it or not. The time of Amara is the enemy of Ethiopians ill thought socialist ideology which is and was wrong to begin with should be long buried in our minds but alas it persists. Any one who has an iota of humanity in themselves shouldn’t challenge the write of Amara’s (anyone persons for that matter even if we hate them,) to exist, including some so called Amara elite who equate this need and wright to exist with narrow mindedness. Honestly, it is purely the proverbial bs to replace Ethiopian-ness with the wright to exist. In truth there is no collusion between Ethiopiawinet and the right to exist at all if one thought about it for a moment with an open mind of course. From your writing one can get it is well thought out from your perspective but is honestly half baked. It does nothing to the current Ethiopian situation. Ethiopia does not need a political system or ideology that advocates the old nation and nationalism failed ideology which you tacitly prescribe to. If you think that is the solution you are just describing the Woyane/Ehadeg Ethiopia. As the Amara.s say changing the cooktop does not improve the sauce. It is sheer madness to assume one can create a just and equitable country based on ethnic politics unless one is an old socialist who refuses to learn from the past as well as from other countries experiences. Wake up please. Take off your old failed socialist hat throw it in garbage and think anew again. Ethiopia has never been a country where identities of people was an issue until socialists came. To say one is going to protect peoples identity which was already there to begin with is a blatant manipulation of other people emotions as demonstrated by the myriad number of ethnic based groups that have emerged and emerging everyday.
   By the way when you say democracy what kind of democracy are you and the groups you are defending talking about. If you think there is one kind of democracy you are mistaken after all wayane/ehadeg is claiming democracy too, and none of the current groups or personalities have ever defined democracy, to them it ls just a catch word they can get away with. Do yourself a favor ask what kind of democracy?
   You should also direct your anger and frustration towards yourself not at others for being a foot soldier of current groups and not looking for a real solution to the Ethiopian people and I say all Ethiopian people regardless of their ethnicity, religion or creed. To me there is one just and simple solution let us see if you can find it. You should be ashamed for calling others infantile, if there is a person who is infantile, it is one who calls other infantile. And to think and call yourself democratic belittling others their concerns, suppressing other peoples ideas, think again, be matured, the era of Mengistu type screaming is gone so will woyane/ehadeg and not too far off is the era of socialists in Ethiopia. Another thing stop being any ones or groups apologist they can do it themselves. For your information, ethnic politics which is the same as segregated politics is not sustainable by any measure and the proof is staring at you right now in our Ethiopia. In addition, do not throw jargon’s here and there to seem knowledgeable, at least in this case it is “unsustainable”.
   One should also understand by now the term people consent should be defined and qualified, after all woyane/ehadeg also claims it has peoples consent and you will agree that is never the case. See all these seemingly straight forward words like democracy, peoples consent, just, equal,etc can be used by anyone to suit themselves and you do not want to be one of them I sincerely hope anyway.
   The writer you tried to dismantle is by the looks of it a member of a clearly defined earmarked for extermination and actively being exterminated group by all ethnic politicians including the ones you support sadly, frankly he has just cause to be worried and express his fear, to understand this you do not have to be an Amara or this and that, just be a human being who believes in every human beings right to live and survive. Sadly you, your likes and the groups you allude to have failed miserably in this human aspect. I say no Ethiopian should trust anyone or group that does not pass this test of humanity and sensitivity to other human beings plight one hundred percent.
   My fellow Ethiopian’s the look out is not for well meaning Ethiopian’s persons or groups but for well being Ethiopian persons and groups. Those that do not have to hide their intentions from the get go and be clear, forthcoming, truth full and be absolutely human every stage of the way even if it means they have to fight every inch they gain.    For everybody’s benefit I am a Human Ethiopian one hundred percent and no negotiations on that whether you are a woyane/ehadeg supporter or apologist and/or current so called opposition groups supporter or apologist.

4. There is nothing offensive in Anteneh’s candidly expressed opinion. In essence, he only stated the very obvious.

   One thing is certain, that the magnanimity displayed by the entire maligned Amara people in the face of relentless assault from every quarter under Woyanes’ dispensation, has come at an enormous cost to the Amara people.

   The impending avalanche that is forming on the Amara highlands will continue to gather momentum to turn the table on the vicious enemy.

   Any conscious and conscientious Ethiopian realizes that Amaras have been targeted for no other reason than their uncompromising commitment to their motherland, Ethiopia. The massacre of millions of Amaras in the last 26 years has not caused a ripple in the national consciousness let alone internationally. In a part f Gojam that I grew up, the age of children is denoted by the number of blankets that child had ever worn. That was the level of disenfranchisement. And it this Amara on whom genocidal war is declared.

   Therefore, the least anyone one who has the interest of Ethiopia at heart should refrain from hurling innuendos at the aggrieved Amaras for brandishing whatever they wield to survive the war of aggression and defend the motherland.

   The remark my 20-year-old daughter made a week ago has sent a shock wave through my spine although I discovered that it is a sentiment shared by many.

   My daughter who does not suffer from the trappings of Ethiopia’s history unlike me came with a bombshell the day after she was gowned in a one of America’s most prestigious universities with great distinction.
   She asked me why Amaras should not establish their own state considering their solid cultural foundation, the art of governance, their huge population, immense natural and human resources to ward off the existential threat? I have not yet recovered from her bewildering remark. May be she has a point !!
