  1. Well, it is good to try hard to change one’s mind from the very bad atmosphere of pessimism to a very good atmosphere of optimism !
However , it is not only misleading but also dangerous to preach the very idea of optimism without establishing a firm , sustainable and progressive political and moral ground .
In other words, establishing our optimistic ideas and views simply on wishful thinking will take us no where but to repeat the same and serious mistakes that will keep us languishing in a vicious cycle of political , socio-economic , moral, ethical and spiritual degradation and of course painful failure we have gone through for three decades .
Given the very hard reality of a terribly aborted spark of change that sparked two years ago because of those terribly hypocritical , conspiratorial , dishonest politicians who are not courageous enough to make their bloody hands clean by making fundamental democratic transformation, all the points you mentioned as points of argument are extremely shallow if not terribly misleading .
You are just arguing based on merely or simply the on and off events or happenings that have nothing to do with the fundamental question of marking peoples’ dream for a true or fundamental democratic system a reality .
You terribly disregard the very hard reality on the ground . And this reality is that not only bad but also very deadly ethnocentric political system of EPRDF is operating with its constitution which is the very source of political and social disaster , with its criminal structures of governments, with its millions and millions of deadly parasitic cadres , with its totally corrupt officials , with its highly corrupt and blood sucker investors and of course the so called political opposition parties who are useless in a true sense of doing politics .
Can’t you understand how those criminal politicians of EPRDF who stupidly try to fool the people by simply renaming themselves as Prosperity getting ready themselves to be the winners of the land slide victory in the so called up coming election ? Do you really believe that there will be a fair and free election given the very fact that still the major players of politics are those criminal ethnocentric politicians of EPRDF now call themselves Prosperity ?
Believe or not, there will never be a true democratic change and of course a real meaning of peace and development as long as those cynical, hypocritical, dishonest, and of course not willing and able to make their bloody hands clean by making honest and consequential apology . .Instead they have made fake and horribly misleading apology which has been proven by all kinds of mind boggling happenings immediately after they controlled the center of the political power by simply removing TPLF and replacing it with OPDO/iOPD!Prosperity .

    • Well folk (Tegenaw): Your problem is with your wrong view of the “half-filled” and “half-empty” bottle. The whole of your point here capitalizes only on the empty part of the bottle, which is significant of course. But look, this is just a reform, not a revolution. How come your are not able to see even a single element of the reform taking place currently. If you are willing to see and accept the reality on the ground, then you would recognize significant changes that are gradually maturing. In the Ethiopian context, elements of reform take some serious efforts, sacrifices and time too. Don’t forget Woyane has been is still is the cause for most of the challenges your are complaining about now. What you/we will have to do is keep fighting Woyane and all sorts of extremists and enemies of Ethiopia. Good to follow the principle of critical support regarding the reform group in power. Externalizing things and pointing fingers at others does not help. We better be inward and forward looking and make sure if we are doing our level best to be part of the solution. Please look at your self again. Anyways, you/we will have to wait and see whether your blind pessimism reflects the reality on the ground. Thanks for the comment. I’ll see again if my optimism is really exaggerated and misleading too.

    • Hello folk; Many thanks for reading my observation and for your comment. I strongly advise you to look at your understanding of the situation on the Ethiopian ground again. I have been and am still on the ground close enough to see the difference between pessimism and optimism. Plus it looks our difference lies mainly on where we want to be, I want and decided to be part of the solution rather than merely counting on problems and condemning others for things that have not been done yet. Hey, you better wake up and join forces to get things done. Most of your concerns are mine as well. But mere pessimism and condemnation does not take you any where. Accept the truth and reality first and strategize for things that remain. Don’t waste your time and energy in vain. We have suffered enough. Wake up and try to see that we took some significant steps forward than before and keep fighting for the remaining things. Honestly I’ll try to see if my optimism is really exaggerated. And please, you do the same with your too much pessimism. Who knows we may meet on a middle ground.
