ምኒልክን ብትወቅሱ ማንነታችሁን ትረሱ (ዶ/ር ኃይለማርያም ላሬቦ)

በቅርቡ የአፄ ምኒልክን ስም የማጒደፍ ዘመቻ ያተኰረው ንጉሠ-ነገሥቱ በአሩሲ ውስጥ አኖሌ በተባለ ቦታ ፈጸሙ በተባለ ግፍ ላይ ነው። እንግዴህ “ሞኝና ውሃ እንደወሰዱት ይሄዳል” እንደሚባለው… ቅሌታም ብቻ ነው ልበ-ወለድን እንደእውነት፣ ምናብን እንደድርጊት አድርጎ የሚወስደው። ከዚያም አልፎ ደራሲው የታሪክ ባለሙያ መሆን ይቅርና የዐሥራ-ሁለተኛ ክፍል ትምህርት እንኳን ማጠናቀቅ ያልቻለ ግለስብ ነው። በዚህ በፈጠራ ጽሑፍ ተመሥርቶ ሐውልት የሚያሠራው ግለ-ሰብም ሆነ ባለሥልጣን በግድየሌሽነት የሕዝቡን ገንዘብ ማባከን ብቻ ሳይሆን፣ ሕዝቡን ራሱን ምን ያህል ወደኋላ የቀረ በማሰኘት በዓለምና በታሪክ ፊት እያስገመተ ነው። ርግጠኛ ነኝ የአኖሌ ሕዝብ የሚጠጣ ንጹህ ዉሃ፣ የሚመላለስበት ዘመናዊ መንገድና መጓጓዣ፣ በሽተኛውን የሚያስታምምበት የተደራጀ ሕክምና ቤት፣ ልጆቹን የሚያስተምርበት ማለፍያ ትምህርት-ቤትና፣ ትምህርቱንም ከጨረሰ ወዲያ የሚሰማራበት አስተማማኝ የሥራ ዘርፍ የለውም ይሆናል። የሐውልቱ ገንዘብ በተረት ላይ በተመሠረተ ድርጊት ከሚውል፣ በእነዚህ አገልግሎቶች ላይ ቢጠፋ፣ ሕዝቡን ምንኛ በጠቀመው፤ አሠሪውንስ ምንኛ ባስመሰገነው።


ድርጊቱ እውነት ቢሆንስ ሐውልት ለምን አስፈለገ። ኢጣልያኖች ሰንቱን አሩሲ፣ ስንቱን ኦሮሞ ጨርሰው የለ፤ ለምን ለዚሁ መታሰቢያ አልተሠራም። እውነቱን እንነጋገር ከተባለ፣ በኢትዮጵያ ምድር ለተሠራው ግፍ ሁሉ ሐውልት እንሥራ ከተባለ ደግሞ፣ ከብዛቱ የተነሣ እንኳን ለሰው መኖርያ፣ ለእግሩ ማሳረፍያ የሚሆን መሬት አይገኝም ይሆናል። አሩሲ ራሱ ቋንቋው ኦሮሞኛ ነው ይባል እንጂ፣ ሕዝቡ ግን ከመቶ ሰባው በትውልዱ የከምባታ፣ የሐዲያና የጒራጌ ነው። እንግዴህ በዚህ መሬት በሌላው የተፈጸመው ሳይቈጠር፣ በኦሮሞች እጅ ብቻ ያለቀውን የነዚህን ሕዝብ ቊጥር የያንዳንዱ ቤት ያውቀዋል። እንግዴህ ለነሱም ሐውልት ያስፈልጋቸዋላ። እኔ ራሴ የማወራው የግሌ ታሪክ አለኝ።


በሁለተኛው የኢጣልያን ወረራ ወቅት የኢትዮጵያ ጦር እንደተፈታ፣ በከምባታ ላይ የጐሦች ጦርነት በመባል የታወቀ ከፍተኛ ዘመቻ ተካሂዶ ሕፃንና ዐዋቂ፣ ሴትና ወንድ፣ ወጣትና ሽማግሌ ሳይለይ ብዙ ሕዝብ ዐለቀ። ከብትና ንብረት ተዘረፈ። ብዙዎች ተማርከው የደረሱበት ጠፋ። ይኸ ዐይነት ሰለባና በደል ከደረሰባቸው መካከል ቅርብ ቤተሰቦቼ ነበሩ። እናቴ ጡቷን ተቈርጣ፤ ሆዷን ተዘርጥጣ ሙታለች ተብላ እሜዳ ላይ ተጣለች። እናቷና ጫቅላ እኅቷ ግን ተማርከው ከተወስዱ በኋላ ደብዛቸው ጠፋ። ሌላው ሕፃን ወንድሟ ግን የምርኮና የጥፋት ዕጣ ባይገጥመውም አባለ-ዘሩን ተቈርጦ በሜዳ እንዲሞት ከተጣለ በኋላ በሕይወት ቢቀርም ወራሪዎቹ ጐሦች በያንዳንዱ ቤተ-ሰብና በመላው አገር ያደረሱት ዕልቂትና በደል በሰው አንደበት ተነግሮ አያልቅም ብቻ ሳይሆን የሰቀቀኑ ርዝራዥ እስካሁን ድረስ በያንዳንዱ ቤተ-ሰብና ግለ-ስብ ጆሮ ውስጥ ይጮሃል። ለዚህም ዐይነቶቹ በጐሦች ለተፈጸመ አሰቃቂ ግፍ ሐውልት ያስፈልጋል ማለት ነው።


በሥልጣን ያለው መንግሥት ከሽፍትነት ወደአፄ ምኒልክ ዙፋን ያደረስውን ዘመቻ የጀመረው ስሙን ባወረሰለት በመጀመርያ ወያኔ ትግል ላይ ተመርኲዞ ነው ይባላል። አንዳንድ ታሪክ ጸሓፊዎች ለመጀመርያው ወያኔ መነሾው በኢትዮጵያ መንግሥት የተፈጸመው ያስተዳደር ጒድለት ነው ይላሉ። እኔ ራሴ የሰማሁት ታሪክ ግን ከዚህ በጣም ይለያል። ያስተዳደር ጒድለት ማሳበቢያ ሊሆን ይችላል እንጂ፣ የመነሾው ጥንተ-መሠረቱ ግን የደጋ ትግሬው ሕዝብ ከትውልድ ሲወርድ ሲዋረድ እንደመጣው ትውፊት በዘላኑ ኅብረተ-ሰብ ላይ ያካሄድ የነበረውን የዘረፋ፣ የግድያና የጥቃት ዓመታዊ ዘመቻውን እንዲያቆም በመንግሥት ባለሥልጣኖች ስለተከለከለ ነበር። እንግዴህ ይኸ ዐይነት ዐመታዊ ዘመቻ ምን ያህል ግድያና ዕልቂት በዘላኑ ሕዝብ ላይ ለዘመናት እንዳደረሰ እናውቃለን። ዘመቻው አባትና እናት ገድሎ ብዙዎቹን ልጆች ድኃደግ እንዳደረገ፣ የስንቶቹን እናቶች ጡት እንደቈረጠ፣ ስፍር-ቊጥር የሌላቸውን ወንዶች እንደሰለበ፣ ከብትና ንብረት እንደዘረፈ፣ ሴቶችና ሕፃናት ማርኳቸው እንደወሰደ፤ በኅብረተ-ሰቡ ላይ ምን ያህል ሽብርና ፍርሀት ይፈጥር እንደነበረ፣ ስንቱንስ በጋለሞታነት እንዳስቀረ መገመት አያዳግትም። አፄ ምኒልክ ባንድ ቀን በጥቂት ሰዓት ውስጥ ፈጽመዋል የሚባለው ግፍና ጭካኔ ከዚህ በያመቱ ከሚደጋገመው ድርጊት ጋር ቢወዳደር ኢምንት ነው ማለት ይቻላል። ታዲያ ለዚህስ አረመናዊ ጭፍጨፋ ለምን ሐውልት አያስፈልግም። በዚህ የአሳብ መስመር ከቀጠልን ደግሞ በሥልጣን ያለው መንግሥት አላንዳች ምክንያት በግፍ የጨፈጨፋቸውና ያስጨፈጨፋቸው እልፍ አእላፋት ንጹሓን አሉ። ለነሱስ ለምን በየቀዬአቸው የመታሰቢያ ሐውልት አይሠራላቸውም።

በአሩሲ አፄ ምኒልክ ምን እንዳደረጉ ማወቅ ከተፈለገ አጥጋቢ ጽሑፍ ስላለን፣ በፈጠራና በስብከት ላይ መመሠረት አያስፈልግም። ጽሑፎቹ የሚያስረዱት አሩሲ ምን ያህል ለአፄ ምኒልክ እጅግ ባለውለታ እንደሆነ ነው። ነገሩም እንደዚህ ነው። አገሩን ባስገበረው በቱላማ ጦር ላይ፣ ጥቂት የአሩሲ ሰው ባንድ ባላባት ተመርቶ፣ ሌሊት ተነሥቶ ጦሩ በሠፈረበት ቦታ አደጋ ቢጥልበትና ከሺ በላይ ሠራዊት ቢፈጅበት፣ ካፄ ምኒልክ ረዳት ጦር ተላከ። ይኸ ረዳት ጦር ሌሊቱን ሲጓዝ፣ ደግሞ እንደገና ተመልሶ አደጋ ሊጥል ከሚሄደው ከአሩሲ ሰው ጋር በድንገት በመንገድ ላይ ተገናኘና በመካከላቸው በተፈጠረው ግጭት ብዙ ሰው ዐለቀ። የኦሮሞ ጦር እንደመሆኑ፣ በኅብረተ-ሰቡ ልማድ ጡት ቈርጦ፣ እጅ ጐምዶ ይሆናል። የጊዜው ልማድ ስለሆነ ምንም አይገርምም፤ ሌላው ቀርቶ በአድዋ ጦርነት እንኳን ተፈጽሟል። ደጋግሜ እንዳልኩት፣ ታሪክ መዳኘት ያለበት ከጊዜው አንፃር ነው።


የሚደነቀውና የንጉሠ-ነገሥቱ አሽማጦች የረሱት ነገር ቢኖር ግን፣ አፄ ምኒልክ እቦታው እንደደረሱ የወሰዱት እርምጃ ነው። በየትም አገር እንደሚደረገውና እንደጊዜው ልማድ መሠረት፣ ጦራቸው የማረከውን የአሩሲን ሰው ሁሉ ባርያ አድርጎ ይዞ ቢቈይባቸው፣ ንጉሡ ከፍተኛ ተቃውሟቸውን አሰሙ። ሠራዊታቸውን በሙሉ ሰብስበው፣ “አሩሲን ከግራኝ ወዲህ የገዛውና ያስገበረው የለም። እኛ ጥንትም የኛ [አገር] ነው ብለን መጣንበት እንጂ ርሱ አልመጣብንም። ባለማወቁ እከላከላለሁ ብሎ ዐለቀ፤ ተጐዳም። ግን ባርያ አድርገን ልንገዛው አይገባንም፤ ወንድማችን ነውና። የማረክኸውን የሰው ምርኮኛ ሁሉን ልቀቅልኝ። በዐዋጅ ከለመንሁህ በኋላ ወስልተህ የአሩሲን ሰው ባርያ አድርገህ የተያዝህ ከተገኘህ እጣላሃለሁ፤ ልቀቅ ብዬሃለሁና ልቀቅ።”በማለት እንዲለቅ በአዋጅ አስገደዱትና ተለቀቀ። ባገሩም ታማኝና ብቁ ነው ብለው የሚያምኑትን አስተዳዳር ሹመው ወደመናገሻቸው ተመለሱ።

ይኸንን የአፄ ምኒልክን ድርጊት ሌሎች የቅኝ ገዢዎች ከወሰዱት እርምጃ አንፃር እስኪ ከጥቂቶቹ ጋር እናስተያይ። ጀርመኖች የታንዛንያ ሕዝብ ባስተዳደራቸው ግፍ አንገፍግፎት ሸፍቶ፣ አንዲት ትንሽ ምሽግ ቢጤ ሰብሮ፣ ጥቂት ሰው ቢገድልባቸው፣ ረዳት ጦር ተልኮ ሁለት መቶ ሺ ሰው በጭካኔ ገደሉ። እንዲሁም የናምቢያ ሕዝብ በጨካኝ አስተዳደራቸው ተማርሮ በዚሁ መልክ ቢነሣባቸው፣ የተላከው ረዳት ጦር አንድም ሰው ሳይቀር እንዲገድል ታዝዞ፣ ከመቶ ሰማንያውን እጅ አረደ። የቀረው ሊያመልጥ የቻለው ወደጐረቤት መንግሥት ሸሽቶ ብቻ ነው። እንዲሁም ፈረንሳዮች የማዳጋስካር ሕዝብ ተበደልሁ ብሎ ቢነሣባቸው፣ ሰማንያ ሺውን አላንዳች ምሕረት ጨፈጨፉ። በጐረቤታችን ኬንያ እንግሊዞች በየቀኑ፣ “ዛሬ ሁለት መቶ ሻንቅላ ገደልን፤

ዛሬ ደግሞ ዐምስት መቶ…” እያሉ ለቅኝ ግዛት ሚኒስትር ወደለንደን የሚልኩትን መግለጫ ያነበበ፣ ስለሰው ሕይወት ነው የሚናገሩት ወይንስ ስለወፍ ብሎ መገረሙ አይቀርም።


የአሩሲ ዐይነቱ የስም ማጥፋት ዘመቻ በአፄ ምኒልክ ላይ ሲደረግ የመጀመርያው አይደለም፤ የመጨረሻም እንደማይሆን ርግጠኛ ነኝ። ዛሬ በሥልጣን ላይ ያለው መንግሥት እንደገባ፣ ሊቅ ነጋሦ ጊዳዳ ከፍተኞች የኦሮሞ ባለሥልጣኖችን ሰብስበው፣አፄ ምኒልክ በጦር ኀይል አሸንፈው፣ የኦሮሞን ሕዝብ አላንዳች ርኅራኄ የጨፈጨፉበትና ለነፃነቱ ብዙ መሥዋዕት ከፍሎ በግፍ የተገፈፈበት ወዳሉበት ቦታ ወደጨለንቆ እየደነፉና እያጕራሩ እንደሄዱ ብዙዎቻችን ረስተን ይሆናል። እኔ በተፈጥሮዬ ከፈረንጅ ኋላ ቱስ ቱስ የሚል ሰው አልወድም። ይሁንና ሊቅ ነጋሦን ያገኘሁኋቸው ገና ተማሪ ሳለሁ በኢጣልያን አገር በሮም ከተማ በዚህ መልክ ነው። ሁናቴው ደስ ባይለኝም፣ የታሪክ ሰው መሆናቸውን ስለማውቅ፣ ላናግራቸው ብሻ፣ ፈረንጁ ጓደኛቸው በሥነ-ሥርዐቱ ሲያነጋግረኝ፣ እሳቸው ግን ሊቀርቡኝም ሊያነጋግሩኝም አልፈለጉም። ይልቅስ ያኔ ለሥልጣን እጩ ለነበረው መንግሥት በመመልመል ላይ እንደነበሩ ጓዶቻቸው ሁሉ፣ እሳቸውም ኲምሽሽ ብለው ቁመው ከሩቅ በፍራቻ በስርቆሽ ማየት እንጂ ሰላም እንኳን አላሉም። ድርጊታቸው ከቃል ይበልጥ ይናገራልና ከዚያን ጊዜ ጀምሮ ስለሰውዮው ያለኝ ግምት በጣም ዝቅተኛ ነበር። የጨለንቆው ጉዳይ ሲመጣ፣ ከነጭራሹኑ አዘቀጠው ብቻ ሳይሆን የታሪክ ዕውቀታቸው ምን ያህል አሳዛኝ እንደሆነም ተገለጠልኝ።
የጨለንቆ ውጊያ የተካሄደው ግብፆች ሐረርን ሲለቁ ከሾሙት ከአደሬው አሚር አብዱላሂ ጋር መሆኑን ማንም ያዉቃል። አሚሩ ያነ ቆቱ የተባለውን የሐረርጌን የኦሮሞ ገበሬ በክፉኛ ጨቁኖ የሚገዛ፣ በሐረር ከተማው ሕዝብ ራሱ ብዙ በደል በመፈጸሙ በጣም የተጠላ ብቻ ሳይሆን፣ የኢጣልያን መልእክተኞችን በጭካኔ በመግደሉ፣ አካባቢውን ይዘው የነበሩት የፈረንጆች መንግሥታት አጋጣሚውን ተጠቅመው የአሚሩን ግዛት ሊቀራመቱ በዝግጅት ላይ ነበሩ። አፄ ምኒልክ ሐረርጌ እስከዐራት መቶ ዓመት ድረስ የኢትዮጵያ ግዛት እንደነበረ አገናዝበውት ሲያበቁ፣ አሚር አብዱላሂን በሰላም እንዲገብር ቢጠይቁት፣ ከቱርክ የበለጠ መንግሥት የለም ካለ በኋላ፣ እርስዎ እስላም ከሆኑ እገብርልዎታለሁ ሲል፣ ሽርጥ፣ ጥምጥምና መስገጃ ምንጣፍ ላከላቸው። ቀጥሎም ሠራዊታቸው የገና በዓል እያከበረ ተዘናግቶ ሳለ፣ በድንገት ደርሶ የመድፍ ተኲስ ከፈተባቸው። የአፄ ምኒልክ ሠራዊት ከመ ቅጽበተ ዐይን በሚደንቅ መንገድ ተፈናጥሮ ደርሶ፣ መድፎቹን ማርኮ ቢተኲስ፣ ውጊያው ሳይታሰብ እንደጀመረ ሳይታሰብ በፍጥነት ዐለቀ። ነገሩ የተገላቢጦሽ ሆነ እንጂ፣ ፍጻሜው ልክ የሮሜው ገናና የጦር መሪ የነበረው ጁልዩስ ቄሣር “መጣሁ፤ አየሁ፤ አሸነፍሁ” እንዳለው ቢጤ ነው። እንግዴህ በአካባቢው የነበሩት አውሮጳውያን እንደጻፉት፣ ሐረር “የተያዘችው አለምንም ደም መፍሰስና ዝርፍያ” ነበር። እንዳይዘረፍም በየቤቱ በራፍ የአፄ ምኒልክ ዘብ ቁሞ ይጠብቅ ነበር። አፄ ምኒልክም እንደደረሱ ሁሉም ሰው እንደባህሉና እንደሃይማኖቱ እንዲስተዳደር ማስጠንቀቂያ ሰጥተው የአሚሩን አጎቶች ሹመው ተመለሱ። ጠፍቶ የነበረው አሚር አብዱላሂ ራሱ ከተደበቀበት ወጥቶ፣ ሐረር የኢትዮጵያ አገር መሆኑን በማሳወቅ፣ “ገብቼ ልገዛ; አገርዎን አያጥፉት” ሲል ላከ።

እንግዴህ ሊቅ ነጋሦ ኦሮሞች ነፃነታቸውን ያጡበትና ታላቅ ዕልቂት የደረሰባቸው የሚሉት የጨለንቆ ውጊያ እውነቱ እሳቸው ከሚሉት እጅግ በጣም የራቀ ነው። ይልቅስ አፄ ምኒልክ ኦሮሞችንና ሱማሌዎችን ከጭቈና አላቅቀውአቸው ነፃ አወጥቷቸዋል፤ ሐረርጌም ከአውሮጳ ቅኝ ግዛትነት አምልጣ፣ ከዐራት መቶ ዓመት በኋላ ከናቷ ኢትዮጵያ ጋር ተቀላቀለች። የሚያሳዝነው ግን ሊቅ ነጋሦ ጊዳዳ ተራ የታሪክ ምሁር ብቻ አይደሉም። ምርምራቸውን ያካሄዱት በኢትዮጵያ ባሕር በወለጋ ውስጥ ባለው በሳዮ ኦሮሞ ላይ ከሺ ሰባት መቶ ሠላሳ እስከ ሺ ስምንት መቶ ሰማንያ ስድስት (1730-1880) ዓ.ም. የጊዜ ገደባ ውስጥ ስለነበር ከማንም ይበልጥ ስለኦሮሞ ታሪክና ውህደት እንደሚያዉቁ ይጠበቅባቸዋል። የሐረርንም ጭምር። ታዲያ የሐረር ኦሮሞ ተጨቁኖ የነበረውና ማንነቱን ያጣው፣ በአፄ ምኒልክ ሳይሆን በግብፆች ሥር መሆኑን እንኳንስ እንደሳቸው ያለው ምሁር የታሪክ ጀማሪም ያውቀዋል። የአፄ ምኒልክ አስተዳደር አብነታዊና በሁሉም ዘንድ የተወደደ እንደነበር ሌላው ቀርቶ አውሮጳውያን ባላንጦቻቸው እንደሚመሰክሩ አይተናል።


ከዚህ በላይ ባጭሩም ቢሆን እንደተገለጸው፣ አፄ ምኒልክ ያቋቋሙት ያስተዳደር ሥርዐት በዛሬ ዘመን ሲታይ ወደፈዴሬሽንነት ይጠጋል። መሠረታዊ መመዘኛው ባህልና ታሪክ እንዲሁም የሕዝቡ ምቾትና ልምድ ሲሆን፣ አንዳንዴ ሃይማኖትንም ቋንቋንም ጭምር የሚያስተናግድ ቢሆንም፣ በነኚህ መለዮች ብቻ ተወስኖ እንደመንጋ ከብት ባንድጋ አያጉራቸውም። ጐጃምና በጌምድር የሚዋስኑ አገሮች ናቸው፤ በሃይማኖትና በቋንቋ አንድ ናቸው። ሁኖም የተለየ ታሪክና ሲወርድ ሲዋረድ የመጣ የራሳቸው የሆነ ያስተዳደር ትውፊት ስላላቸው ልዩነታቸውን እንደያዙ ቀጥሏል። እንደዚሁም አብዛኛው የወለጋና የከፋ ሕዝብ በሃይማኖትም ሆነ በቋንቋ ተመሳሳይነት ቢኖራቸውም፣ በታሪክ፣ በባህልና ባስተዳደር የየግላቸው ስለነበሩ ልዩነታቸው እንደተጠበቀ ሁኖ ተዋቅሯል። አወቃቀሩ ማናቸውም ጤናማና እውነተኛ የፈዴሬሺን ሥርዐት ያላቸው አገሮች የተከተሉት ነው ለማለት ይቻላል። ለምሳሌ የአሜሪቃን ፈዴሬሽን የመሠረቱት ዐሥራ ሦስቱ መንግሥታት በቋንቋ፣ በትውልድ፣ በእምነትም አይለዩም። እናት አገራቸውን እንግሊዝን አሸንፈው ነፃ በወጡ ጊዜ በዐሥራ ሦስቶቹ ፈንታ በአንድ መንግሥት ብቻ መዋቀር ሲችሉ፣ ሲወርድ ሲዋረድ የመጣውን የየግላቸውን አስተዳደር ላይለቁ ብለው በፌዴሬሽን ተቋቋሙ። ሌሎችም በሠለጠኑ አገራት ያሉት በፌዴሬሽን የተዋቀሩት መንግሥታት (ለምሳሌ ያህል እንደጀርመን ያሉት) የተከተሉት መልክ ነው።


አፄ ምኒልክ ዘመናዊነትን ባገር ውስጥ ለማስገባት ያልነኩት የሥልጣኔ መስክ፣ ያላደረጉት ጥረት የለም። በያንዳንዱ መስክ ከፍተኛ ተቃውሞ ገጥሟቸዋል። ግን ሁሉንም በትዕግሥትና በብልሃት በመያዝ ተወጥተው አስፈላጊ መሠረቶችን በመጣል፣ ኢትዮጵያን በዘመናዊ ሥልጣኔ ተራማጅ ኀይሎች አንዷ እንድትሆን ለማድረግ በቅተዋል። በጣሉት መሠረት ላይ ማነጽና የተሻለች ኢትዮጵያ መገንባት የያንዳንዱ የተከታዩ ትውልድ አላፊነት ነው።


ደጋግሜ እንደተናገርሁት፣ አፄ ምኒልክ በተለያዩ ባላባቶች ሥር ሁኖ እርስ በርሱ ይተላለቅ የነበረውን ሕዝብ፣ ባንድ ሰንደቅ ዓለማ ሥር ሰብስበው አንድ ቤተሰብ አድርገውታል

    I read on zehabesha an article of Dr Negaso about the History of Addis Ababa supported by references and books of historians who live back then.
    But this article is not supported by any reference, Why the Zehabesha post fictions of individuals not supported by history references as a History?

  16. Well done Dr.Hailemariam. We all know what happens in other worlds and what people did to control or eliminate the ‘other’ it did not happen in Ethiopia. Had it been the case they would have been successful. We all know that there was a power struggel for supermacy and sometimes that required war and killing. And as we all know every ethnic group including Oromo did that period so what? Can we settel and build a democratic society or should we go back and retaliate? Only the people behind such a mad idea of a statue knows what they are preparing. Be wise and know the history. We know that the last 20 years or so history is rewritten in Ethiopia and it is done in a nasty way but that does not justify anything because what happened is still a fact and still remains in the minds and hearts of people that share it. Why do they want to take us back to controversies again and again when we try to come together and focus on TPLF?

In a country where the population is as diverse as it gets, and the people not experianced enough to responsibly enjoy the social media, the elites of the country can do a lot for the betterment of the country. But what we observe is people being emotional and not being based on facts. No one wants to even admit that what the other person is taking might have a grain of truth in it. Then it comes down to name calling. In politics you don’t always get what you wanted. You compromise. We must start to listen to each other and bridge the gap. We need a person with a good vision for our country. Until we start to see people who stand for facts and respect others opinion(even if we don’t accept it) we are going no where.
