2. The seed of Amhara extremism was planted when extremist Amharas formed what is called Moresh and SHENGO. They reasoned that the only way to get the Amharas together was to go an extra mile. Meles Zenawi was too early to label these group as “Interhamwe” group. I objected to the naming of these agents at the time. 2013 should be commemorated as the founding year of a newer version of the “Amhara Renaisance”. I do not go to their meetings, but I sensed a few months ago their sensational commemoration of Menelik II here in USA. I said…. wow. We are into something now after so many years of empty rhetoric these guys are raising the long dead to lead them into a fantacy land. Many politicians were crying loud about the inability of of all opposition forces to create a united front to challenge the TPLF government. We said you cannot mix oil and water together. It was over 40 years ago that, according to Getachew Haile (the patriarch of Neftegna politics), the “first shot” was fired against Amhara dominance by none other than its own son, Walleligne Mekonnen. At the time many progressive Amharas followed Walelign Mekonnen’s declaration along with other ethnic groups who were already laying down the foundation to shake up the foundation of Amhara’s Ethiopia. Popular movement against the Monarchy succeeded. It was not only the feudal system that was uprooted, but also the Amhara political super structure suffered a significant blow. The military junta did not follow through and some remnants of Amhata political establishment tried to regroup. They succeeded to a degree when in the waning days of the Derg, most of high ranking officials were concentrated once again in the Amhara hands. The argument at the time was that members of other ethnic groups were too causy to their respective insurgent groups in the country. It was a significant miscalculation. They underestimated the degree of hatred of all other ethnic groups against the system. Surely, the TPLF has made significant errors in the administration of the country. They have been too selfish to implement a judicious administration that will hold all its citizens on equal footing. As in the past, there are many opposed to their system. Of all, the Amhara opposition is quite buffling. They are calculating that they will undo what Oromos claim to have gained under the current administration. The existence of EPDM in the system has benefited the Amharas than the existence of OPDO. The Tigrean elites figured that they cannot challenge these two groups on the same level. In addition there were many members shared between the two organizations. Eg. Bereket Simon, Azeb Guale..etc. The extremist group was waiting in the wings for a day when the can count on these insiders. After the death of Meles Zenawi, they came out from their crevisces hoping to jump the wagon. In their mind, they would have to clear the road first. Little do they know the collateral awakening they are generating among other groups. In my long years of politics I have never seen such a strong determination of Oromos as I see now. No one would yield to poltical dominance of one group over the other.

3. Amhara elites are too backward and blind to see any move by them to destroy Oromia is the first step to give Ogadenina, of course after Ogadenia Oromia will be next which will be bloody. But it is better than living in slavery. Nobody has seen how we are determined. Those EPLM, people wil die soon from oromo poletical move and independent oromo voice will soon become like Ertrea.

   You forgot to mention that olf was humiliated and totally destroyed by tplf after a short honeymoon in 1991.

   The woyane outsmarted olf , disarmed and massacred them after they used them as pawns to committ the most heinous crime in the history of Ethiopia, in 1991/92. olf formed alliance with tplf and the common point that joined them was their haterd of the amhara.

   All politics of the ethno-fascists is driven by hate, a desire for revenge and a sense of being a victim and incurable sense of inferiority complex.

   Unless you educate yourself to be self respecting you will just be going in circles which you will not be able to get out of.
   Be wise to who your real enemy is ,

   2) Menelik is the pride of Africa and the black man all over the world. His enemies as well as his friends have the deepest respect for him. Ethiopia remained free from EUROPEAN COLONIALISM BECAUSE OF MENELIK, RAS ALULA, ABA NEFSO, etc.etc
   .Ethno fascists pervert history and present make believe history to suit and advance their own agenda of creating hatred, division, and war ,
   BUT THIS WONT ALTER THE FACT. Menelik’s story is written in gold and he will be remembered as long as the world exists in the minds of Ethiopians and Africans. Never mind the make believe story, imagined propaganda you guys promote.

5. Mr doc,

   Where did the Neftegna politicians go in 1991/1992? They did not partcipate in the “dismantling” of OLF.
