1. That is what TPLF is doing and continue to do until the upcoming election. Expect even more of this in the coming months. And the time right before and after the election will be even a turmoil. The irony is why the people are being easily used like a tool. Why are out peoples simple run into TPLF’s traps and nicely do the duty TPLF prepares for them. As a result of the intrigues designed by the ruling party, in some places people wedge wars and fight each other on silly points such as the naming of a small local town. In other places the ruling party deliberately orchestrates sensitive ethnic slurs and attacks on big national sports and cultural events. And many more. I think we have lost our minds and hearts.

   Please verify your source of story. There are many inconsistencies in your story that does not make any sense. According to your information Sidama students demanded that the the name of the school be written in the Sidama language. Awasa is the capital city of Southern region and there would be no reason for Oromo students to demand to change the official language of that region. Moreover, there is a very strong working relationship between the Southern nations and Oromos. So the story does not hold water.

   You are right. I think that was either by some editorial error or a deliberate move to create dispute between Oromo and Sidama youths, who have good relationship. The author of the story did not indicate that the change of language requested by Oromo students was from which to which language. In any way, however, it is unrealistic that Oromo students request change of instructional language in Hawasa.

   That statement about “Oromo students demanding change of the instructional language” must be cut and pasted simply. I guess the phrase was already on the author’s memory and he just pasted it.

4. what is the point of inserting Oromo name in the justice question of Sidama students demand? Either you have wrong information or deliberately done to develop animosity between Sidama and Oromo.

5. When South Sudan declared Independence, I said this will create another hell. Reason: Their common enemy is gone. Now, they have to battle for resources and supremacy within their own ethnic groups. We now know the new nation is gripped with untold stories of bloodshed. The same parallel can be drawn what TPLF is doing in Ethiopia. They tell us, here is your freedom as long as you allied to your ethnic doldrums. It is not hard to predict what the outcome of such policy will be… misery and bloodshed. You do not believe me, wait and see. The seeds of hatred are sprouting. What is happening in Awassa and elsewhere in the country is the tip of the iceberg.
