I hope this meeting is not led by Professor Getachew Haile, who have been trying for a long time to try to allign the chrurch with weyane new patriarch Abune Mathias ; because he has always been at odds with the legal Synod in exile. Professor Getachew Haile is a divisive icon in the Diaspora community . Ethiopians in diaspora try to stand in unison . But he has stood against that unity before, which he will do it again ! therefore you’all in MN, better watch out THIS man ! he must be conspiring with weyane PATRIARCH !
kebede, this is not led Professor Getachew! this meeting is called by the true Ethiopian. Weyane hired few member of D.M.S Mezmeran to dived or distroye the church. we called this meeting to protect our unity and to fight Weyane.
Ato Kemburs Professor Getachew is absolutely right in saying that there is not such a thing as Ethiopian or legal Synod in America. The right thing for you guys to do is to correct your naked mistake and work to rally the diaspora behind you. you could demand the legal patriarch, Abune Merkorios, to be restored to the legal see in Ethiopia. But,if the legal see has also come with him here, how can you demand his return? So, the right approach is that the headquarter of EOTC is in Addis Ababa,but the patriarch was remove by the government. And we all agree on this and do not accept such violation of the Church’s canon by EPRDF. It is not right to blame proferssor Getachew for he spoke the right thing.
