የኬንያው ፕሬዝዳንት ኡሁሩ ኬንያታ የምዕራባዊያን መገናኛ ብዙኃንን ዜናዎችን መመልከት ያቆሙበትን ምክንያት ገለፁ፡፡ምዕራባዊያን መገናኛ ብዙኃንን በአፍሪካ ጉዳይ ላይ ዘገባ ሲሰሩ በቦታው ከመገኘት ይልቅ በርቀት ሆኖ መስራትን ይመርጣሉ ብለዋል፡፡
ፕሬዝዳንቱ በርካታ የምዕራባዊያን አገራት ዜጎች በተገኙበት መድረክ ያደረጉት ንግግር ‹‹ቱናቸኪ›› (2nacheck) በሚሰኝ እና በስዋህሊ ቋንቋ ‹‹እየተመለከትን ነው›› በሚል ትርጉም የአፍሪካን ትክክለኛ ትርክትና በአኅጉሪቱ ላይ ያለውን የምዕራባዊን የተዛባ እሳቤ ለመግለጥ በተመሰረተው ተነሳሽነት ላይ ለተመልካቾች ወጥቷል፡፡
የምዕራባዊያን መገናኛ ብዙኃን በአፍሪካ ላይ የሚሰሩትን የተዛባ ዘገባ እንዲቆሙ በተደጋጋሚ ሲጠይቁ የሚደመጡት ኡሁሩ ‹‹በቢግ ፎር አጀንዳ ኬንያ›› ላይ ባደረጉት ንግግር የመገናኛ ብዙኃኑን ፈር የለቀቀ አካሄድ ኮንነዋል፡፡
‹‹እነ አልጀዚራ፣ ሲኤንኤን፣ ስካይኒውስ፣ ቢቢሲ እና ሌሎችም በርዋንዳ፣ ደቡብ ሱዳን፣ ኢትዮጵያ፣ ሶማሊያ ላይ የተፈጠረን ነገር እንዳንዴም የአፍሪካ የምዕራብ አቅጣጫ ጠርዝ በምትገኘው ናይጀሪያ ሆነው ዘግበው ሲጨርሱ ‹ለዘገባው ጆን ኋይት ከናይሮቢ ኬንያ› ይላል ሲሉ ነው ፕሬዝዳንት ኡሁሩ የተቹት፡፡ ይህም ሁሉም የሚያውቀውን ክዶ የሽብር ቡድኑ ቦኮሃራም ኬንያ ነው የሚኖረው እንደማለት ነው ብለዋል፡፡
አፍሪካዊያን አንድ ቢሆኑም በየራሳቸው ልዩ የሆኑ አገራት በመሆናቸው የምዕራባዊያን መገናኛ ብዙኃን ይህንኑ በማክበር የሚዘግቡት ዘገባ በቦታውና በሰዓቱ በመገኘት ሊሆን ይገባል ብለዋል፡፡
